FEATURED VENDOR - Gilded Swan Paperie

This week my featured vendor is Gilded Swan Paperie, specializing in vintage invitation suites, thank you cards and day-of wedding stationery.  I have worked with Julie on two photo shoots, before her recent rebrand from GoGo Snap, and she’s always so easy to work with, replies quickly and works hard to ensure the final product is perfect for her clients.  Even before working with her, I was a follower on Instagram because of her unique signature style.  I’m a fan of vintage style and her work just stood out to me.  I wanted to highlight her talents and let Julie introduce herself and her company: Business Name: Gilded Swan Paperie www.gildedswanpaperie.com www.etsy.com/shop/GildedSwanPaperie

www.instagram.com/gildedswanpaperie/ Services Offered: Wedding invitations and “day of” wedding stationery.  Focus for 2019: Continue to offer budget-friendly vintage-inspired wedding stationery. I believe everyone, regardless of budget should be able to have professionally printed invitations that are “out of the box” unique. My aesthetics are primarily vintage, but I strive to find ways to make them timeless, colorful and affordable. This year, I am exploring new ways to deliver true luxury for less as well by experimenting with different paper stocks. I am also learning to paint… so perhaps I can interpret the vintage world through a paint brush this year. Favorite Aspect: When I find inspiration from something like an old piece of sheet music or Art Deco poster, I hunker down, put on Turner Classic Movies and start designing a new wedding suite. I don’t answer the phone, I get into the zone and just play with colors and fonts. Nothing beats putting together pretty things! I also love to see my client’s wedding photos. Seeing the entire day come together is precious! Signature style: Not every wedding has to have a theme, but it does have to have style! Most of my designs are based on the 1880s - 1940’s. But I do try and find a way to make my designs timeless and work with a modern wedding too. My favorite eras are those “in between” eras… like when Edwardian is merging into Art Deco. You get the best of both worlds by adding say, softness from an Art Nouveau design to the sometimes very angular Art Deco designs. Like our personalities, having an eclectic mix of ideas is what makes our events unique. So even if a client is having an urban roof-top wedding, I like to know that the Victorian invitation suite they chose will still work!
